Two Delaware Residents Arrested at Walmart on Theft and Drug Charges

Easton, MD - On November 2, 2025, officers responded to a Walmart location following reports of a suspicious individual suspected of stealing merchandise. The incident resulted in the arrest of two Delaware residents on multiple charges.

Upon arrival, officers observed a subject running through the parking lot toward Dover Road. The individual was identified as Joshua Medler, 51, of Camden, Delaware. During the investigation, Walmart personnel confirmed that Medler had stolen multiple items valued at over $2,000 and placed them in a vehicle located in the parking lot.

Medler was placed under arrest for the theft. During a search incident to arrest, officers discovered a substance suspected to be methamphetamines in his possession. He was subsequently charged with Theft $1500 - $10,000, False Statements to a Police Officer, and CDS Possession. Medler was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center.

Officers determined that Medler had entered the store with a female companion. The woman was later observed walking toward a nearby Giant store with a shopping cart containing various items. Officers made contact with the individual, who was identified as Charleen Cox, 57, also of Camden, Delaware.

During the conversation with Cox regarding the incident, officers learned she had an outstanding arrest warrant through Delaware for theft. Cox was arrested and transported to the Talbot County Detention Center.

The investigation involved coordination between local law enforcement and Delaware authorities regarding the outstanding warrant. Both suspects remain in custody pending further legal proceedings.
