Two Georgetown Men Arrested Following Dispute and Weapons Charges
GEORGETOWN, DE - On December 30, 2025, officers from the Georgetown Police Department responded to a firearm-related incident at the Georgetown Apartments Complex.
At approximately 5:49 p.m., police arrived at the 900 Building to investigate a report of a dispute involving weapons.
Following an investigation, officers determined that an altercation had occurred involving three adult males. Two suspects, identified as 22-year-old Andre Singletary and 20-year-old Xavier Singletary, both of Georgetown, Delaware, allegedly displayed handguns during the dispute.
The victim informed officers that the suspects are his cousins.
The victim reported that he was physically forced out of the apartment. When another family member arrived to pick him up, a physical fight ensued.
During this second altercation, one of the suspects struck a second adult victim in the mouth. Police also noted that a juvenile child related to one of the suspects was inside the residence while the incident took place.
Both Andre and Xavier Singletary were taken into custody at the scene. Authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence, where they recovered two handguns.
The suspects were processed and arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court. Andre Singletary was released on a $6,100 unsecured bond, while Xavier Singletary was released on a $6,600 unsecured bond. The court ordered both defendants to have no contact with the adult victims and no unlawful contact with the juvenile involved.
Both men face charges including Aggravated Menacing, Terroristic Threatening, Assault in the Third Degree, Offensive Touching, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
