Two Injured in Early Morning Shooting in Frankford

FRANKFORD, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Frankford during the early morning hours of September 4, 2025. Two individuals sustained injuries in the attack.
Troopers responded to the area of Honolulu Road and Reed Street at approximately 2:41 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located two victims who had been injured during the incident.
The victims were identified as a 27-year-old man from Frankford and a 38-year-old woman from Selbyville. Both individuals were traveling in the area when unknown suspects opened fire on their vehicle with multiple gunshots.
The female victim suffered injuries from glass debris caused by the attack. The male victim sustained both debris-related injuries and a gunshot wound to his hand. Emergency medical personnel transported both victims to a local hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit has assumed responsibility for the ongoing investigation. Detectives continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses as they work to identify the suspects involved in the shooting.
