Two Men Arrested on Drug and Weapon Charges in Millsboro
Millsboro, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested two men from Millsboro following a search warrant execution. Douglas Clay, 66, and Kenneth Peters, 59, were taken into custody on January 22, 2026. Both men face felony drug and weapon charges.
The arrests stemmed from an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from a residence on the 30000 block of Friendship Road. Members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, the Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team executed the warrant. Clay and Peters were detained at the scene without incident.
During the search, police discovered illegal substances and weapons. Authorities seized approximately 8.41 grams of mushrooms, small amounts of methamphetamine and crack cocaine, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia. Police also found a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun with ammunition and two large fixed-blade knives.
Both men were transported to Troop 4 and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2. Clay was charged with multiple felonies, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $19,000 secured bond.
Peters faces charges including two counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $48,700 cash bond.
