Ocean City, Maryland - In February, a joint operation involving the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, the Ocean City Police Department, the Maryland State Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration initiated a focused investigation into the distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) by local resident Patrick Sabatino.

The investigation uncovered Sabatino's alleged involvement in distributing crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine from his home on Colonial Road in Ocean City.

During this operation, Sabatino reportedly sold CDS to an undercover narcotics detective on multiple occasions, which led to the execution of a search and seizure warrant for his residence.

On April 3, 2025, a coordinated team from various enforcement units executed the warrant and found seven individuals inside the residence, many of whom were already known to law enforcement. They confiscated trace amounts of CDS, drug paraphernalia, U.S. currency, and several cell phones.

As a direct result of the investigation, 43-year-old Patrick Anthony Sabatino was arrested and charged with seven counts of CDS distribution.

Additionally, 39-year-old Rebecca Ann Bivans was taken into custody on a Violation of Probation warrant. Both individuals were denied bond and remain in custody.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are considering additional CDS-related charges. The Ocean City Police Department emphasizes the importance of community involvement and encourages residents to report any suspicious activities. Tips can be crucial in assisting law enforcement efforts and ensuring community safety.
