TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH MISSING CHILD IN NEW CASTLE COUNTY, DELAWARE

North East, MD - In a significant development regarding the disappearance of a young child in New Castle County, Delaware, the Maryland State Police have arrested two individuals and charged them accordingly, ranging from murder to child abuse.
Following an extensive investigation, Darrian Randle, 31, and Cedrick Antoine Britten, 44, are the two individuals charged.
Darrian Randle is facing multiple serious charges, including first- and second-degree murder, as well as first-degree child abuse resulting in the death of a minor under thirteen. Authorities have confirmed that Randle is currently being held at the New Castle County Division of Police, awaiting extradition proceedings.
Randle is being held on a $1,000,000 bond for felony false report in Delaware, stemming from this case.
Cedrick Antoine Britten is charged with being an accessory to first- and second-degree murder after the fact, as well as failing to report a child's death and other related offenses. Britten remains in custody in Maryland and is expected to make his initial court appearance at the Cecil County District Court soon.
This incident began when an Amber Alert was issued late yesterday evening for the missing 3-year-old, Nola Dinkens. After the child's mother reported her missing in Newark, Delaware, the New Castle County Division of Police, with the assistance of the FBI, conducted a thorough overnight investigation.
They were supported by the Maryland State Police from the North East Barrack and the Criminal Enforcement Division Northern Region.
Initial findings indicated that the information provided by Randle was misleading, which led to the cancellation of the Amber Alert. Further inquiries at Randle's last known residence in North East involved Britten and revealed potential criminal activities.
This ultimately led to the discovery of human remains in a vacant lot in North East, with preliminary identifications suggesting they belong to a young child.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit, which is leading the investigation, is working closely with the FBI and the New Castle County Division of Police. Confirmation of the remains' identity is pending, as autopsy results from Baltimore's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are awaited.
Crime scene technicians from the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division have been diligently processing the scene for evidence, supported by troopers from the North East Barrack and the Criminal Enforcement Division Northern Region.
As the investigation continues, authorities remain committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice for the young victim.
