Two Suspects Arrested in Target Electronics Theft Case

Queen Anne's County, MD - Deputies from Queen Anne's County have arrested two individuals in connection with a theft at the Stevensville, Maryland Target location that involved approximately $4,000 worth of stolen merchandise.


Initial Theft Report


On August 12, deputies responded to the Target store following a report of theft. Loss Prevention personnel informed officers that a store associate had discovered an empty electronics display case that previously contained Nintendo Switch gaming systems.


Surveillance footage review revealed that three unknown suspects had entered the store the previous day. The suspects removed merchandise from the display case and other store areas using reusable bags. They bypassed all points of sale with the stolen items.


Suspects Return to Store


Three days later on August 15, deputies were dispatched to the same Target location in Stevensville, Maryland. Loss Prevention reported that two suspects from the earlier theft had returned to the store.


Deputies monitored live surveillance footage and observed the female suspect carrying the same reusable bag from the prior theft. She was also wearing a shirt that had been stolen during the previous incident. The male suspect displayed identical tattoos to those seen in the original theft footage.


Arrest During Second Theft Attempt


While under surveillance, deputies observed the male suspect retrieve a six-inch crowbar from his pocket. He attempted to open multiple electronics cases while the female suspect stood nearby with a shopping cart.


Deputies followed the pair as they exited the store and took both individuals into custody.


Contraband Discovered


Searches conducted incident to arrest revealed additional violations. The male suspect was found in possession of controlled dangerous substances, drug paraphernalia, and a crowbar.


The female suspect was also found to have various controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.


Robert Buck, 42, of Westminster, MD, faces the following charges:

  • Burglary 4th Degree Theft
  • Burglary 4th Degree/Permit Tool
  • Theft $1,500 to under $25,000
  • Obstructing and Hindering
  • Resist/Interference with Arrest
  • CDS Possession - Not Cannabis
  • CDS Possession Paraphernalia


Casey Sickle, 28, of Halethorpe, MD, faces the following charges:

  • Burglary 4th Degree Theft
  • Theft $1,500 to under $25,000
  • CDS Possession - Not Cannabis (2 counts)
  • CDS Possession Paraphernalia (2 counts)


Both suspects were processed accordingly following their arrests. Robert Buck has several additional open cases from Carroll County and Annapolis, MD andwas held without bond. Casey Sickle was initially offered a $5,000 bond but when she had her bond review, in front of the Honorable Judge Frank Kratovil, her bond was revoked and reset with no bond. Both individuals are now being held without bond pending their trials.
