Unwanted Subject Found Trespassing on Boat in Chester, Maryland

Chester, MD - On July 12, 2025, Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Deputy First Class Doyle responded to a report of trespassing at Castle Marina, located at 301 Tackle Circle in Chester, Maryland. The incident involved an unwanted subject onboard a private vessel.


According to the complainant, the issue originated while they were in the process of attempting to sell their boat. They disclosed to law enforcement that they had been communicating with an interested party via Facebook; however, the individual had indicated they would be out of town for several days.


The complainant stated that on July 8, 2025, they noticed their boat's security cameras had gone offline. Concerned, they traveled to the marina to investigate.


Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals, accompanied by a pit bull, onboard their vessel without authorization. It remains unclear how long the individuals had been on the boat.


Upon inspection, several items aboard the vessel were found to be damaged.


The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
