National News - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife have been taken into custody by United States forces. This development follows a large-scale strike conducted overnight. Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has since issued a formal request for "proof of life" regarding the President and his wife.

Activity began early Saturday morning in the capital. Low-flying aircraft were observed over the city, and at least seven explosions were reported. The entire operation is said to have lasted approximately 30 minutes.

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a ban on U.S. commercial flights within Venezuelan airspace. The agency cited ongoing military activity preceding the explosions in Caracas. It is currently unknown if the event resulted in any casualties.

The current leadership of the country is undetermined. It remains unclear who is running the Venezuelan government at this time.

President Donald J. Trump has stated the following: "The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M., at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
