VEHICLE PURSUIT SUSPECT ARRESTED
Laurel, DE - On October 10, 2023, a post was made to the Laurel Police Department's Facebook page requesting the public's assistance in locating Gary Leonard (18) of Millsboro, DE, in reference to a high-speed vehicle pursuit.
On October 14, 2023, a tip was received that provided the location of Mr. Leonard to assist with apprehending him for his active arrest warrants.
Units from the Laurel Police Department, Delmar Police Department, and Delaware State Police quickly responded to the location provided by the caller and took Mr. Leonard into custody without incident.
He was subsequently transported to the Laurel Police Station to be booked for the following crimes:
- Disregarding Police Signal (Class G Felony)
- Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Driving Without a Valid License (Misdemeanor)
- Multiple Traffic Offenses
Leonard was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on his own recognizance. He is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
