Volunteer Needed for the Administrative Charging Committee
WORCESTER COUNTY, MD - The Worcester County Commissioners are seeking a volunteer to serve on the Administrative Charging Committee. This committee was established under the State Police Accountability Act, and there is currently one vacant position.
The Administrative Charging Committee is composed of five members. Their primary responsibilities include reviewing complaints and investigations of police misconduct. The committee determines whether an officer should be charged and, if so, recommends disciplinary action based on a state-created matrix.
Before beginning their service, committee members are required to complete 40 hours of training.
Interested residents can apply by submitting a completed application, a letter of interest, and a resume or cover letter that outlines relevant experience.
