Wanted Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop in Talbot County

Talbot County, MD - On Saturday, October 18, 2025, a Hyattsville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop in Talbot County, Maryland.

Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Ocean Gateway near Dutchman's Lane. The driver was identified as George Albert Joppy III, 57, of Hyattsville, MD.

A records check revealed an active arrest warrant for Joppy issued by the District Court for Anne Arundel County for a violation of probation. Joppy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing.

Following an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Joppy was released after posting bond.
