Queen Anne's County, MD - On August 5, 2025, DFC Doyle of the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office responded to a Crumpton residence following a welfare check request regarding a child staying with their father.
Upon arriving, DFC Doyle made contact with both the father and the child. The child appeared to be in good spirits. The father informed DFC Doyle that the individual who initiated the welfare check had previously arrived at the property, causing a disturbance by yelling and honking a car horn.
The father further stated that the child did not want to return to the individual and requested that this person be trespassed from the property.
Subsequently, DFC Doyle contacted the individual who made the initial call by phone. They were informed that the child was safe and happy and advised that the matter was a court issue.
Additionally, the individual was officially notified that they were not permitted to return to the property.
Approximately 20 minutes after the phone call, DFC Doyle was dispatched to the same residence again. It was reported that the individual had returned to the property and made multiple attempts to gain entry.
Surveillance footage from a neighbor's home confirmed these actions. Following the review of the evidence, an application for charges against the individual was filed.
