Wicomico County Announces Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

Wicomico County, MD - Wicomico County Government has announced its office closures for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. All government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, for Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 28, 2025, for Native Heritage Day.

The holiday schedule will also affect county facilities and services. On Thursday, November 27, the Newland Park Landfill, Convenience Center, and Brush Pile will be closed.

Additionally, all external Convenience Centers, the Whitehaven Ferry, and the Upper Ferry will not be in operation.

On Friday, November 28, the Newland Park Landfill, its associated Convenience Center, and the brush pile will reopen for normal business hours. However, all external Convenience Centers and the Whitehaven Ferry will remain closed for the day.
