Wicomico County, MD - The Wicomico County Council is seeking community-minded individuals to contribute their perspectives to the Compensation and Allowance Commission. As the council prepares to review the packages for its members and the County Executive, this is an opportunity for registered voters from diverse backgrounds to make their voices heard.
For those considering this important civic duty, the commitment involves meeting bi-weekly - or as necessary - until the end of the year. The council aims to appoint commission members by June, with work beginning shortly thereafter. This is a chance for engaged citizens to provide input to ensure fair and balanced compensation for their elected leaders.
Interested individuals should submit their resumes along with a brief statement explaining their interest and suitability for this role. Resumes can be sent to the Wicomico County Council Administrator by mail at P.O. Box 870, Salisbury, MD 21803, or via email at lhurley@wicomicocounty.org. Submissions are open until May 27, 2025 - be sure to mark your calendars!
Additionally, those interested in learning more about the commission are welcome to reach out to any of the County Council Members. Contact details are available on the council's website, or you can call the County Council Office at 410-548-4696 for more information.
