WICOMICO COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT WELCOMES FOUNDER OF SPEAK SOBRIETY, STEPHEN HILL

Salisbury, MD-The Wicomico County Health Department will host Stephen Hill, founder of Speak Sobriety, for an enlightening community conversation on April 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. 

Hill, who is known for his recovery coaching, will discuss his personal experiences of grappling with and overcoming substance use disorder. His story will resonate with all age groups, particularly at this critical time when our community and state are confronting a rise in overdoses.

Hill, a bestselling author and a young person in recovery, has spoken in over 700 schools and organizations nationwide, sharing his journey from addiction to recovery. His narrative aims to inspire individuals to adopt substance-free, healthy lifestyles.

Attendees of the event will walk away with a better understanding of mental health and substance use disorders. They will also learn practical coping skills to deal with challenges and cultivate a goal-oriented mindset towards creating a life worth safeguarding.

The event is scheduled at the Hazel Center, Room 100, Wor-Wic Community College. Doors open at 5:30 pm for refreshments supported by Wor-Wic Community College. Resource tables and Narcan training will also be available.
