Wicomico County, MD - Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano announced that the local State of Emergency will be lifted at 5:00 PM today. The declaration was made in response to severe winter weather conditions that affected roadways, public safety operations, and essential county services throughout the region.

County personnel worked continuously throughout the storm to ensure public safety and maintain critical infrastructure. Their efforts focused on clearing major roadways, responding to emergency calls, and maintaining continuity of government services.

"Our teams have done an outstanding job responding to this storm," said County Executive Giordano. "Because of their hard work and the cooperation of our residents, we are now in a position to safely lift the State of Emergency."

While the State of Emergency will be lifted at 5:00 PM, residents are encouraged to continue using caution. Secondary roads and areas with lingering icy conditions may still present hazards.
