Wicomico County to Host Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11

Salisbury, Md. - The Wicomico County War Memorial Committee will host a ceremony to honor military veterans on Tuesday, November 11, at 11 a.m. The community is invited to attend the event, which will be held at the Wicomico Civic Center. 

Due to construction on the exterior of the building, this year's ceremony will take place inside the Normandy Arena. The event will feature patriotic music, prayer, and a remembrance to honor all living veterans who have served honorably in the military during wartime or peacetime.

The Wicomico Civic Center serves as a war memorial for all veterans. An outdoor memorial at the venue features flags for each service branch, as well as the United States, Maryland, Wicomico County, and POW-MIA flags.

These flags fly over a brick wall with plaques displaying the names of Wicomico County's fallen veterans from World War I and beyond.
