Easton, MD - On January 29, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a call at the Walgreens located at 8174 Ocean Gateway. Reports indicated an unwanted subject was outside the business, consuming alcohol and soliciting money from passersby.

Upon arrival, police identified the individual as 53-year-old Arlene Stebbing, of no fixed address.
During the interaction, officers issued Ms. Stebbing a cease and desist order for the Walgreens location.

While on the scene, police discovered an active criminal summons had been issued against her regarding a separate incident. This summons stemmed from an event that occurred on December 31, 2025.

Ms. Stebbing was previously subject to a cease and desist order prohibiting her from entering the Easton Post Office at 116 E. Dover Street. Police allege she violated this order by sleeping inside the post office while it was closed.

Consequently, a single charge of trespassing was applied for at the District Court Commissioner of Talbot County. Ms. Stebbing was released after being served with the summons.
