WORCESTER COUNTY CRIMINAL ENFORCEMENT TEAM MAKES SEVERAL DRUG ARRESTS IN POCOMOKE FOLLOWING LONG-TERM INVESTIGATION

Pocomoke City, MD - Over the last several months, members of the Worcester County Criminal Enforcement Team conducted a long term drug distribution investigation in the Pocomoke, Maryland area. This covert investigation was initiated as a result of an increase in overdoses and several citizens contacting law enforcement about suspected drug activity in their community. At the conclusion of this investigation, the facts were presented to the Worcester County Grand Jury who indicted the below listed individuals for various drug offenses. 

 

Gionni Murph: 25 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Narcotic Production Equipment 

• 1 Count - Possession Cocaine 

 

Jacolby Roberts: 33 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Distribution of Cocaine 

• 3 Counts - Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession Cocaine 

 

Devin Bryant: 34 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Distribution of Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession of Cocaine  

 

Michelle Dryden: 53 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Distribution of Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession of Cocaine 

 

Darron Pittman: 22 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Possession with intent to Distribute Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession of Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession of CDS Manufacturing Equipment 

 

Curtis Schoolfield: 45 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Possession with intent to Distribute Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession of Cocaine 

• 2 Counts - Possession of CDS Manufacturing Equipment 

 

Andrew Miller: 34 of Pocomoke City 

• 1 Count - Distribution of Cocaine 

• 1 Count - Possession of Cocaine 

 

Loynial Sturgis: 44 of Pocomoke City 

• 3 Counts - Distribution of Cocaine 

• 3 Counts - Possession of Cocaine 

 

The aforementioned individuals have all been apprehended and are awaiting trial. It should also be noted that three additional individuals, who were a part of this investigation were apprehended in September and charged with various firearms and drug offenses. 

On September 21, 2023 a Press Release was disseminated describing those arrests. 

Sheriff M. Crisafulli commended the Detectives in this investigation and also stated: "We will continue to apprehend and hold those accountable who try to poison our communities in Worcester County." 

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office Criminal Enforcement Team was assisted by the Worcester County States Attorney's Office, Eastern Shore Information Center, Washington-Baltimore HIDTA and The Governor's Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services provides grant funding and strategic support to MCIN member sites to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal organizations through interagency collaboration.
