Worcester County Government Offices Closed for Columbus Day Holiday

Worcester County, MD - Worcester County Government offices will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, in observance of the Columbus Day holiday. The closure affects all main government offices as well as Recreation and Parks facilities.

The county's five branch libraries will also remain closed on Monday. Library staff will use this time for mandatory training sessions.

Essential services will continue to operate during the holiday. The Central Landfill and Homeowner Convenience Centers will maintain their standard operating hours throughout Monday.

Normal business operations will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. All Worcester County Government offices will return to their regular schedules.

County officials encourage residents to plan accordingly for any services they may need during the holiday period.
