$25K Reward Offered in the Murder of 10-Year-Old Tyron Colbert Jr. from Salisbury

Salisbury, MD - Two years have nearly passed since 10-year-old Tyron Colbert, Jr. was shot and killed inside his Salisbury, Maryland home, and investigators still need the public's help finding answers.

As the anniversary approaches, Maryland State Police are renewing their appeal for information. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for this heinous murder.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. on August 5, 2024. Officers from the Salisbury Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Clay Street in Salisbury, Maryland, after a 9-1-1 call came in reporting a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Tyron with a gunshot wound. Police say he was inside the home at the time of the shooting, along with his mother and two other young children.

The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Salisbury City Police Department. No suspect description has been released.

The $25,000 reward is being offered jointly by the FBI, Maryland State Police, and Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore.
