The kid was riding his skateboard in the road when the homeowner let the dog loose on him. This has been an ongoing issue that Maryland State Police are familiar with.

Good morning, folks. It is Monday, August 24, 2026, and we are up early and ready to get this day started.

Today marks the anniversary of Maryland becoming the 7th state to join the Union and ratify the US Constitution.

It's also National Waffle Day and probably 10 other topics, so take your pick. Isn't it crazy how they now have a dozen different topics for National Day's? We used to post them daily but it got to be too much to keep up with but since we live in Maryland, might as well mention it this morning.

I'm going to try to talk the wifey into making us some of her home milled flour waffles, maybe with a side of bacon or sausage, so figured I'd mention that as well.
