Armed Robbery Investigation: One Juvenile in Custody, Second Suspect Still at Large
Laurel, DE - On April 11, 2026, officers received a report of an armed robbery at the Holly Brook Apartment Complex in Laurel, Delaware. The victim stated that on April 10, 2026, they visited the 1300 block of the complex for a scheduled meeting.
He planned to purchase a hooded sweatshirt for a predetermined amount of money. Upon arrival, two male suspects approached him to complete the transaction.
During the meeting, the suspects brandished what appeared to be a black handgun. The firearm was pointed at the victim, and he was instructed to exit his vehicle.
One suspect held the victim at gunpoint. The second suspect removed U.S. currency from the victim's pockets. Both suspects then fled the scene.
Further investigation identified the suspects as a 17-year-old from Seaford, Delaware, and a known juvenile accomplice. Arrest warrants were subsequently drafted.
On April 15, 2026, the Delaware State Police contacted Laurel Police Department units regarding the juvenile accomplice. This individual was taken into custody without incident and transported for processing.
It was determined that the arrested juvenile was on pre-trial release for narcotic and firearm-related charges from 2025. The juvenile was charged and arraigned on one count of Robbery 1st Degree and one count of Conspiracy 1st Degree.
The suspect was transferred to the Stevenson Juvenile Detention Center on an $11,000 cash-only bond.
The 17-year old still remains wanted in connection with this incident. He is considered armed and dangerous.
