Brush Fire Spreads to Sheds in Federalsburg; $65,000 in Damages Reported
Federalsburg, MD - On April 10, 2026, at approximately 5:17 P.M., a brush fire was reported in the 6300 block of Noble Road in Federalsburg, Caroline County, Maryland.
The fire originated at the base of a large tree and subsequently spread to three one-story sheds located on the property.
The incident was initially discovered by an occupant. Occupants and neighbors observed the fire outside on the ground before it spread to the adjacent sheds due to surrounding debris.
The Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company and surrounding agencies responded to the single-alarm incident with 25 firefighters. The fire was brought under control within 25 minutes of the response.
The State Fire Marshal's Office estimated the property loss is valued at $50,000 for the structures and $15,000 for the contents.
