Bryant Brown-Clark Convicted in Salisbury Shooting

Wicomico County, MD - On July 29, 2026, Bryant Brown-Clark, 19, of Salisbury, was convicted in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County, Maryland for multiple charges to include Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

A Wicomico County Jury found him guilty on two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, two counts of Firearm Use in a Crime of Violence, Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm, two counts of Theft between $1,500 and $25,000, and other related charges.

The three-day trial was presided over by the Honorable Kathleen L. Beckstead, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Wicomico County. Sentencing was postponed so a pre-sentence investigation can be completed, and Brown-Clark will stay in custody of the Wicomico County Detention Center until that hearing is concluded.

The case goes back to October 16, 2025, when Wicomico County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a shooting near Mohawk Avenue in Salisbury, Maryland.

Witnesses on the scene refused to co-operate with law enforcement and did not give investigators any information.

Deputies were then sent to the nearby Wicomico Nursing Home, located on Booth Street, where they found that a stray bullet had entered a patient's room.

Investigators collected evidence from the scene, including shattered automotive glass in the street and surveillance footage showing a suspect vehicle.

That vehicle was found in Salisbury a few days later. It had been stolen out of Baltimore City, Maryland.

Surveillance of the vehicle led to Brown-Clark's arrest, as he and four other young men tried to get into it. Shattered automotive glass was found on him at the time of his arrest.

Several search warrants were later carried out, turning up more evidence connecting Brown-Clark to the shooting. The Sheriff's Office believes the shooting was gang related.

Wicomico County State's Attorney Jamie L. Dykes said, "We are extremely fortunate that no one was injured or killed in this shooting incident. My Office will continue to diligently prosecute violent street crime to remove these perpetrators from our community."

SA Dykes also praised the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department for its work on the case. She specifically thanked lead investigator Detective T. Gilmore for his effort and persistence, along with Senior Assistant State's Attorney Lauren Bourdon for her work prosecuting the case.
