Cambridge Man, 71, Arrested on Talbot County Warrant
Cambridge, MD - On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at approximately 9:54 a.m., the Cambridge Police Department located a man in the 2900 block of Hudson Road in Cambridge, Maryland. Officers arrested him on an active warrant out of Talbot County.
The man was identified as Robert Lee Holley 2nd, 71, of Cambridge. He was later released on his personal recognizance.
Being released on personal recognizance means Holley did not have to post bail. Instead, he gave his word that he will return to court when he is told to.
The warrant came from the Talbot County District Court. It is a bench warrant for failing to appear in court.
A bench warrant is issued by a judge when someone misses a court date. It gives police the power to arrest that person and bring them back before the court.
According to police, Holley was due in court on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. He did not show up, and the warrant followed.
That means the warrant had been active for more than four and a half years. It stayed in place until officers found Holley on Hudson Road this week.
The warrant is tied to an original charge of Driving on a Suspended License. That charge covers driving a vehicle while a person's license is suspended.
