Cambridge Man Arrested After Drugs Found at Posted Property
Cambridge, MD - A routine patrol in Cambridge led to an arrest Wednesday morning after officers spotted a man on a property where trespassing isn't allowed. The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on June 24, 2026, near Pine St and Elm St.
Cambridge Police Department officers were patrolling the area when they noticed someone on a residential property marked with a No Trespassing sign. This particular address isn't new to police. CPD says they've received numerous complaints there for trespassing and drug-related issues in the past.
Officers approached the subject and identified him as Clarence Roosevelt Beck, 50, of Cambridge, MD. After making contact, officers placed Beck under arrest. A search turned up a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in his possession.
Beck was issued criminal citations and released. He now faces three charges connected to the encounter.
Those charges include Trespass Posted Property, CDS Possession Not Cannabis, and CDS Possession Paraphernalia. All three stem directly from what officers found during the stop and search.
