Cambridge, MD - On September 27, 2026, at approximately 9:06 a.m., the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to the 800 block of Hubbard Street in Cambridge, MD, for a physical disturbance. Officers spoke with a woman who said she had been assaulted.

She told officers that Brandon Rae Rideout, 37, of Cambridge, came to the home and an argument started over property. She said Rideout pushed her during the argument.

The woman said the argument moved outside, where Rideout struck her in the face. Officers saw signs of injury that matched what she reported.

Rideout had already left by the time officers arrived. Officers then applied for charges with the District Court Commissioner, and an arrest warrant was issued.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. that same day, officers found Rideout in the 800 block of Hubbard Street and placed him under arrest. He was taken to CPD for processing and was later released on his personal recognizance.

Rideout was charged with Assault in the Second Degree.
