Cambridge Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct on Maces Lane

Cambridge, MD - Cambridge police responded to a disturbance in the early morning hours on May 10, 2026, that ended with a man being taken into custody.

Officers arrived at the 800 block of Maces Lane at around 3:31 a.m. and found what appeared to be a party that was breaking up. As people were leaving the area, the situation took a turn.

Police observed a man walking away in the roadway while another man followed closely behind him. That second man, later identified as Travonte Ramar McCready, 37, of Cambridge, Maryland, was yelling and screaming at the other man in what officers described as an attempt to instigate a fight.

McCready's behavior drew a crowd. Multiple people gathered around as the situation escalated, prompting officers to step in.

McCready was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing. He was later released on a Criminal Citation. McCready faces the following charge:
