Cambridge Man Arrested for Trespassing and Drug Possession
Cambridge, MD - On April 13, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Cambridge Police Officers were patrolling the area of Pine Street and Elm Street.
During the patrol, a subject was observed walking off the property of 520 Elm Street in Cambridge, Maryland. This property is clearly posted with "No Trespassing" signs.
Officers made contact with the individual, who was identified as 46-year-old Rodney Lee Hammond of Cambridge, Maryland. Hammond advised the officers that he did not know he was trespassing on the property. Following this interaction, Hammond was placed under arrest.
During a search of Hammond, a smoking device and crack cocaine were located. Hammond was later released on criminal citations. He is officially charged with trespass on posted property, CDS possession (not cannabis), and CDS possession of paraphernalia.
