Cambridge, MD - At approximately 8:19 p.m. on September 6, 2026, Cambridge Police Department (CPD) officers responded to a vacant residence in the 700 block of Meadow Ave for a burglary.

The complainant told officers that the same man who had been arrested on September 1 was back inside the home. Officers searched the area, but the man was not there when they arrived.

Police identified the man as Tyrone Anthony Cropper, 41, of Cambridge. He was not taken into custody at that time.

Just a few hours later, at approximately 11:40 p.m. that same night, CPD officers were called back to the same residence. This time, the call was for trespassing. Officers located Cropper at the property and placed him under arrest.

Cropper was transported to CPD for processing. He was not cooperative while officers processed his arrest. Because of this, he was temporarily held at the Dorchester County Detention Center.

On September 7, 2026, Cropper had his initial court appearance. A judge ordered him held with no bond.

Cropper faces two charges from the incident. He was charged with Burglary in the 4th Degree. He was also charged with Trespassing on Private Property.
