Cambridge Man Caught With Pills After Foot Chase

Cambridge, MD - A Cambridge man is facing new charges after a brief foot chase ended in his arrest near Pine and Robbins Street.

Cambridge Police officers were patrolling the area around 2:20 p.m. on June 23, 2026, when they spotted someone they recognized with active arrest warrants.

That person was identified as 25-year-old Lionel Antonio Shaw of Cambridge, MD.

When officers tried to make contact, Shaw ran away from officers on foot. He didn't get far.

Officers tracked him down in a nearby wooded area and took him into custody.

During the arrest, officers searched Shaw and found a Percocet pill in his possession. He was taken to Cambridge Police Department for processing and issued a criminal citation for the CDS violation.

Shaw was then turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and held on no bond due to multiple outstanding warrants.

In total, Shaw faces the following charges:


  • CDS Possession Not Cannabis
  • Dorchester County District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Comply (Warrant #1)
  • Dorchester County District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Comply (Warrant #2)
  • Dorchester County District Court Body Attachment
