Cambridge, MD - On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at approximately 12:23 p.m., officers with the Cambridge Police Department served a criminal summons on a Cambridge man on charges tied to a shooting investigation from last month.

The man was identified as Jeremiah Moses Greene, 21, of Cambridge, Maryland. He is charged with Loaded Handgun in Vehicle and Handgun in Vehicle.

His charges are for a gun found in a vehicle he was in.

The case goes back to Sunday, September 13, 2026. At approximately 7:41 p.m., Cambridge Police officers responded to the 400 block of Skinners Court in Cambridge for a report of a shooting.

The department's Criminal Investigation Division looked into the case. While officers were working the scene, they found Greene at a home on Skinners Court.

Officers told Greene to stay on scene. Police said he left anyway.

A few hours later, officers found him again. At approximately 12:25 a.m. on Monday, September 14, officers responded to Sailwinds Park in Cambridge for a suspicious vehicle.

Greene was inside the vehicle. Police said items found during a search warrant at the Skinners Court home where the shooting happened led officers to seize that vehicle.

Officers then got a search and seizure warrant for the vehicle. They carried out that search at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15.

Inside the vehicle, detectives found a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 Glock style handgun. The gun had a 30-round magazine with several rounds of 9mm ammunition in it.

Detectives took what they found to a District Court Commissioner and applied for charges.

That led to the criminal summons served on October 7.
