Cambridge Man Charged with Threat of Arson After Disturbance on Oyster Catcher Court
CAMBRIDGE, MD - A Cambridge man is facing a criminal charge after he allegedly threatened to blow up a home and shoot a victim during a disturbance Monday evening.
At approximately 7:06 p.m. on May 4, 2026, Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of Oyster Catcher Court after receiving a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they observed two male subjects arguing with one another.
Officers made contact with the victim and witnesses at the scene. According to those accounts, a man later identified as Alonzo Lamont Davis had threatened to blow the house up and shoot the victim.
Davis, 31, of Cambridge, was taken into custody and transported to CPD for processing. He was later released on his personal recognizance.
Davis was charged with Threat of Arson in connection with the incident.
A threat of arson is a serious charge in Maryland. It involves making statements or taking actions that cause a reasonable person to believe a fire will be set intentionally and unlawfully.
The Cambridge Police Department handled the investigation. No additional suspects were named in connection with this incident.
