Cambridge, MD - A Cambridge man with no fixed address is facing theft charges after a series of incidents that began earlier this month, according to Cambridge Police Department.

On May 6, 2026, CPD officers served a criminal summons on Daniel Isaih Rhock-White, 34, charging him with theft between $100 and under $1,500.

The case began on the morning of May 4, 2026, when an off-duty CPD officer spotted a man near the Cambridge Inn in the 2700 block of Ocean Gateway around 7:30 a.m. That man was later identified as Rhock-White, who was already a suspect in two burglaries that had taken place on May 1, 2026.

Those earlier incidents occurred in the 300 block of Mill Street and the 600 block of Race Street. Officers were alerted to Rhock-White's location and responded to the area.

On-duty officers located Rhock-White walking near Zaxby's on Ocean Gateway. He was carrying a home theatre sound bar at the time. Officers took him into custody in connection with the previous burglaries.

Following his arrest, officers contacted Walmart Asset Protection. Staff confirmed that the sound bar Rhock-White was carrying had come from the store. Walmart's own camera footage showed him taking the item without paying for it.

Because Rhock-White was admitted to the hospital after his arrest on May 4, officers applied for charges through the court commissioner rather than processing him in the traditional manner. The criminal summons was then served on May 6.
