Cambridge Man Cited After $95 Walmart Theft
Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police officers were called to the Walmart in the Dorchester Square Mall on June 23, 2026 for a theft report. The call came in around 1:29 p.m., but the actual incident happened hours earlier that morning.
Asset protection employees told officers that a man entered the self-checkout area around 8:30 a.m. He had clothing and food items with him. Instead of scanning everything, he bagged the items and walked right out the door.
The total value of the stolen merchandise came to $95.02. Store employees were able to give officers a detailed description of the man's clothing. That description ended up being the key to solving the case.
Later that evening, around 6:00 p.m., officers were patrolling the 400 block of High St. They spotted a man matching the outfit description from earlier in the day. After making contact, they identified him as Dabari Kevon Fisher, 39, of Cambridge, Maryland.
Fisher was issued a Criminal Citation for Theft Less Than $100.00. He was released following the citation.
