Cambridge Police Issue Criminal Summons for Second-Degree Assault

Cambridge, MD - On February 28, 2026, at approximately 3:40 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department served a criminal summons to 50-year-old Stanley Thomas Prezeproski of Cambridge, Maryland. Prezeproski was charged with second-degree assault.

The charge stems from an investigation that began on February 26, 2026. At approximately 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 200 block of Choptank Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female victim. She reported being assaulted by Prezeproski. Officers observed no visible injuries on the victim during this initial call.

Later that day, at approximately 2:25 p.m., officers conducted a follow-up investigation. During this visit, the victim displayed visible signs of injury resulting from the initial altercation.

Following this observation, officers submitted an application of charges to the Court Commissioner. A criminal summons was subsequently issued.
