Cambridge Traffic Stop Leads to Gun and Drug Arrest
Cambridge, MD - On September 30, 2026, at approximately 7:58 p.m., the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to the 600 block of Pine Street in Cambridge, MD, for a traffic stop. Officers said the vehicle was crossing the center line and passing other vehicles.
Officers spoke with the driver, who was identified as Aundray Devon Rogers, 28, of Cambridge. During the stop, a CPD K9 Unit was called to the scene to sniff the vehicle for controlled dangerous substances (CDS).
The K9 alerted to the presence of CDS. Officers then searched the vehicle.
Inside, officers found a black bag that held a loaded Ruger 9mm handgun with 16 rounds of ammunition. They also found approximately 207 grams of cannabis and 10 flavor dabs for cannabis.
Officers recovered a bottle of liquid codeine and a plastic baggie containing a quantity of Adderall. Multiple plastic baggies containing a quantity of MDMA "Ecstasy" pills were found as well, along with other CDS paraphernalia.
Rogers was placed under arrest and taken to CPD for processing. He was later turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on a temporary commitment.
He is charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute MDMA and CDS possession with intent to distribute Adderall. He also faces two counts of CDS possession not cannabis and two counts of CDS possession paraphernalia.
Other charges include handgun in vehicle, loaded handgun in vehicle, and handgun use in a felony. He is also charged with CDS possession firearm and possession of firearm in relation to drug trafficking.
The final charges are negligent driving, unsafe lane change, and failing to drive right of center.
