Cambridge Woman Arrested After Table-Throwing Incident Leaves Victim Injured
Cambridge, MD - A Cambridge woman is facing assault charges after a physical altercation left a victim with head injuries and visible swelling to the face.
On the evening of April 19, 2026, Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of West End Avenue just before 9:00pm. When they arrived, they found a victim lying on the floor complaining of head pain.
Officers noted that the victim's face appeared swollen. After speaking with the victim, they learned the incident had actually happened hours earlier, around 11:00 am that same day.
The victim told officers that 24-year-old Hadley Ryann O'Day, of Cambridge, Maryland, had thrown a table at them, striking them in the head. The injury was serious enough that the victim required medical attention.
O'Day gave officers their side of the story as well. She said the two had gotten into a verbal argument, and that the victim had picked up a table and damaged it during the dispute.
O'Day told police that she then picked up the broken table and threw it at a wall. She said the table ended up striking the victim.
The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Cambridge for treatment. The extent of the victim's injuries has not been released at this time.
O'Day was placed under arrest following the investigation. She was later released on her own personal recognizance, meaning she was let go without having to pay bail.
She has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree.
