Cambridge Woman Arrested on Multiple Charges After Vehicle Found in Ditch on Bayly Road

Dorchester County, MD - A Cambridge woman faces several charges after officers found her vehicle in a ditch and later located her nearby.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on May 4, 2026, Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the 1500 block of Bayly Road after a vehicle was reported in a ditch. Before officers arrived, witnesses reported that the female driver had walked away from the vehicle toward a nearby wooded area and appeared to be intoxicated.

When officers arrived, they found the vehicle unoccupied. They then searched the wooded area where the driver had been seen throwing items. There, they found a bag containing multiple containers of alcoholic beverages.

Officers located the vehicle's owner and identified her as Gina Estaris Hollowell, 36, of Cambridge, MD. She was found in possession of the keys to the vehicle. Officers noted that she had slurred speech and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

Hollowell agreed to perform standardized field sobriety tests. Based on her performance, officers placed her under arrest and transported her to Cambridge Police Department for processing.

Hollowell was issued citations and released. She is charged with driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving while so far impaired by alcohol she cannot drive safely, negligent driving, driving a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock system, driving on a revoked license, and driving without a license.
