Cambridge Woman Charged With Harassment After Text Messages

Cambridge, MD - On September 28, 2026 at approximately 10:24 a.m., the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) served a criminal summons in the 400 block of Pleasant St., Cambridge, MD. The summons was served on Dawn Gatton, 39, of Cambridge, MD.

Gatton was charged with harassment. A criminal summons is a court order to appear, and it is different from an arrest.

The charge comes from an incident on September 9 and September 10, 2026, on Delaware Ave., Hurlock, MD.

The victim reported that Gatton sent text messages over and over. The victim also reported that Gatton contacted people the victim knows.

The victim applied for charges against Gatton at the District Court Commissioner's Office.
