Caroline County, MD - A Caroline County Sheriff's Office deputy arrested a Ridgely man last week after he failed to meet a required sex offender registration appointment.

Gary Eugene Pinder Jr., 46, was served with an arrest warrant on June 11, 2026. The warrant charges him with one count of failure to register as a sex offender.

According to authorities, Pinder missed a mandatory registration appointment on May 26, 2026. That missed appointment is what triggered the warrant and led to his arrest.

After being taken into custody, Pinder was processed and brought before a District Court Commissioner. The commissioner ordered him to be held on no bond.

Pinder was then transported to the Caroline County Detention Center, where he was transferred into their custody.

On June 12, 2026, Pinder was provided a bond review and ordered to be held without bond.
