Chestertown Man Charged With First-Degree Assault

Kent County, MD - On Sept. 26, 2026, the Kent County Sheriff's Office responded to the 24000 block of Chestertown Rd., Chestertown, Maryland, for a reported assault.

Deputies found that the victim showed signs of being assaulted. Property belonging to the victim was also damaged, with a value of more than $1,000.

Craig Willis, 55, of Chestertown, Maryland, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and other related charges.

He is being held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
