Crisfield Man Charged After Stabbing on Somers Cove

Crisfield, MD - On August 13, 2026, at approximately 8:25 p.m., the Crisfield Police Department responded to the 100 block of Somers Cove in Crisfield, Maryland for a report of a stabbing.

Officers found the victim inside his home, bleeding from his arm.

The suspect was located outside the residence and ended up running from the scene on foot.

With help from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, officers caught up with him a short distance away. He was taken into custody without further incident.

The suspect, who was identified as Derrick Michael Davis, 45, of Crisfield, Maryland, was charged with Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment, and Resisting Arrest.

Davis appeared before the District Court Commissioner, where he was ordered to be held without bond.
