Wicomico County, MD - Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. has been selected for a national television feature. The Salisbury based firm will appear on The American Dream, a series airing on Bloomberg Television and CNBC.

The segment will also stream on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and other major platforms. DBF is a full service architecture, engineering, planning, surveying, and environmental consulting firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region.

The feature will tell the story of DBF's growth. The firm started in a one room office in downtown Salisbury in 1983.

Today DBF employs more than 100 professionals across four offices. The firm has served nearly 4,000 public and private clients throughout Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and beyond.

"This is an incredible opportunity to share the story of our firm, our people, and the communities we serve," said Ring W. Lardner, P.E., President of Davis, Bowen & Friedel. "For more than four decades, our success has been built on strong relationships, technical excellence, and a commitment to improving the places where people live, work, and play. We are honored that The American Dream recognized our story as one worth telling on a national stage."

According to the show's production team, DBF was chosen for its unique founding story and long standing commitment to the Delmarva region. The firm's contributions to the built environment over the past 40 years were also cited.

Since its founding by John Davis and Gerald Friedel, DBF has worked on projects across the Mid-Atlantic. Those projects include municipal infrastructure, transportation systems, schools, healthcare facilities, environmental restoration, water systems, public safety buildings, coastal engineering, and architectural design.

The segment will highlight DBF's multidisciplinary team. Architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, environmental scientists, GIS specialists, and construction professionals all work together at the firm.

The feature will also cover DBF's community involvement. The firm has supported volunteer work, charitable giving, mentorship programs, and educational partnerships over the years.
"Our people have always been the heart of our organization," Lardner added. "The projects we design and the communities we help shape are only possible because of the talented professionals who bring their expertise, creativity, and dedication to work every day. This recognition belongs to every employee who has contributed to our success over the years."

Filming will take place this fall. The segment is expected to air during the first quarter of 2027.
