Delaware DOC Searches for Escaped Georgetown Offender

Georgetown, DE - The Delaware Department of Correction is asking for the public's help finding a man who walked away from a work release program.

Officials say Eric Szulborski left the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown after he failed to return from an approved work pass. His whereabouts are unknown, and a warrant for escape after conviction has been issued.

Szulborski left on July 30, 2026. Szulborski was serving time for a violation of probation tied to a burglary charge.

Community Corrections Centers are used by the state to help offenders transition back into the community. These centers are not secured like state prisons, and offenders are allowed to leave for approved jobs, job searches, or treatment sessions.

Szulborski is a white male, born March 15, 1980, making him 46 years old. His last known address was in Wilmington, Delaware.

He stands five feet six inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

He has scars on his left eyebrow, right hand, and right wrist. He also has tattoos on his neck, left arm, right arm, back, and left shoulder.
