Delmar Woman Charged After Assaulting Four Officers
Delmar, MD - On July 23, 2026, at approximately 4:24 p.m., officers with the Delmar Police Department responded to the 900 block of East State Street in Delmar, Maryland for a domestic dispute. While on scene, Lauren Walker became disorderly and refused to follow officers' commands.
Police say an officer was assaulted during the encounter. Walker then ran a short distance on foot before officers caught up with her.
Officers attempted to place Walker under arrest. Police say she continued to assault them with her hands and feet during the struggle.
Officers were eventually able to get Walker into handcuffs. Police say she continued to resist even after she was restrained.
In total, police say four officers were assaulted during the incident. Walker also caused damage to Delmar police property, according to authorities.
Walker was taken into custody and transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center. She now faces the following charges: assault second degree on a law enforcement officer x2, assault second degree x2, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order of a police officer.
