Delmar Woman Turns Herself In on Old Warrants

Delmar, DE - A Delmar woman is facing new court dates after turning herself in to police on outstanding warrants this week.

According to the Delmar Police Department, Bree Anne Stade contacted officers on July 20, 2026, around 10:20 a.m. She reached out on her own, letting police know she had open Capias warrants and wanted to take care of them.

Officers confirmed Stade had four open Capias warrants in total. Two came from the Court of Common Pleas in Georgetown, Delaware and two came from J.P. courts. All four were tied to Failure to Appear, commonly known as FTA.

After contacting officers near E. State St and N. Pennsylvania Ave in Delmar, Stade was taken into custody. She was then transported to the Court of Common Pleas and J.P. 14 in Georgetown for processing.

Stade was arraigned on all four warrants. She was released afterward with new court dates set for each case.

Turning herself in likely worked in Stade's favor. Police often note that voluntarily addressing open warrants can lead to a smoother process than being picked up unexpectedly.
