Duo Flees Traffic Stop, Faces Charges in Talbot County
Talbot County, MD - A routine traffic stop on Dover Road turned into a foot chase last week after both the driver and passenger of a vehicle jumped out and ran from deputies.
On May 22, 2026, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office pulled over a vehicle near Ocean Gateway for a registration violation. When the vehicle stopped, both occupants got out and took off on foot.
Deputies took both individuals into custody following a short pursuit and a struggle.
The driver was identified as Pamela Marie Nicholson, 37, of Cambridge, Maryland. The passenger was identified as Ellsworth Spence Nicholson, 48, also of Cambridge.
Pamela Nicholson was charged with fleeing and eluding police, obstructing and hindering police, resisting arrest, displaying registration for another vehicle, and several additional traffic offenses.
Ellsworth Nicholson was charged with fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest, assault on law enforcement, and possession of a controlled substance.
Both were transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing and an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. Both were held pending further action by the courts.
